After years of planning, our goal to host an international South Asian film festival in the nation’s capitol was realized. DCSAFF 2012 was a grand success, highlighted by a retrospective on one of India’s most acclaimed directors, Mr. Shyam Bengal. Other festival highlights included a special screening of Deepti Naval’s debut directorial venture, “Do Paise Ki Dhoop, Chaar Aane Ki Baarish” and the North American premiere of “Rang Rasiya” by Ketan Mehta. Guests included Rajit Kapur, Manisha Koirala, Omi Vaidya, Samrat Chakrabarti, Suneil Anand, Prashant Nair, and many more.
